What's the difference between Valet Parking and Meet and Greet?

The two services are essentially the same thing in terms of the way they work. Valet parking tends to be the airport's own doorstep service which will normally involve leaving your car at a kiosk outside the terminal entrance. Meet and Greet (although also offered by the airport) is more likely to be an Airport Approved operator working from the meet and greet zone. The meet and greet zone is also just a short walk from the terminal entrance / exit.

Do any of the hotels offer family rooms that can accommodate more than two adults and two children?

A standard family room will accommodate 2 adults and 2 children or 2 adults and 3 children. Some hotels offer family rooms that can accommodate 2 adults and up to 5 children. Please visit the hotel description pages for more information.

We are travelling with one infant, what type of room should we book?

If you are travelling with an infant under 2 years of age, you should select a Double Room with cot. If you are travelling with one child aged 2-12 years you should select a Double Room with extra bed.

We require a double room and extra bed for our child who's over 12 years old, is this okay?

Most hotels have a maximum age limit of 12 years for health and safety reasons, although some hotels may allow slightly older children to occupy an extra bed. Otherwise you will need to book a triple room for your stay.

Are baby or child seats available in hotel shuttle buses and taxis?

No. Parents are required to hold their children during the shuttle journey to or from the airport. Taxis do not provide baby or child seats either, although you are able to fix your own seat in the back of a taxi if you wish. Bear in mind, however, that the taxi firm will be unable to store the seats for you. By law you are allowed to hold your children whilst in a taxi or shuttle bus.

Do all the hotels offer long term parking or Hotel Park and Fly packages?

All hotels booked through Heathrowparking.com offer a discounted Hotel Park and Fly package. If a hotel doesn't offer Stay and Park it will be made clear on this website.

Is my car secure at the hotel for a long period of time?

The hotels we feature offer secure airport parking. Many of the hotel car parks have been awarded Park Mark certification. Please note, as with all car parks, vehicles are left at the owner's risk.

Are cars always kept on site at the hotel?

In most cases parking is on site at the hotel when a Hotel Park and Fly package is booked with us. If the package includes alternative parking arrangements it will be made clear at the time of booking. Some hotels reserve the right to request that guests take their cars to an overflow car park during peak periods; others may utilise a car park management company to do this.

What if I need more than 15 days parking, or between 8 and 15 days?

When you enter your arrival date at the hotel, along with your vehicle collection date, the search results will automatically show whether it will be cheaper to book an 8 day package and pay for additional parking days, or book a 15 day package which will cover the length of your stay.

Is there an amendment fee?

If your booking is not an advance purchase rate then it can be amended. It is free to amend your booking. Please note, however, that discounted advance purchase bookings cannot be amended or cancelled.

Is there a cancellation fee?

It depends on the type of booking you have made. Cancellation details and charges are always made clear before you book. Discounted advance purchase bookings cannot be cancelled. A cancellation fee of £7.50 may apply to some bookings. If available, be sure to purchase Cancellation Flexibility for only £0.99.

What if I fail to cancel my reservation in time?

In the case of a hotel booking where you have guaranteed your stay using your credit or debit card, if you fail to cancel your booking within the time specified in the booking terms and conditions, you will be charged the total amount of the package price as a No Show or Non Arrival.

How can I cancel my reservation?

The easiest way to cancel your booking is to login to your account or click Manage Booking and cancel the booking yourself. Alternatively you can email us, or give us a call and we will be happy to assist you.

Do you charge a credit card fee?

No, we do not charge a credit card processing fee. If you have booked a hotel stay whereby payment is due on arrival at the hotel it may be the case that the hotel will add a charge on to the cost of the room for credit card payments. If so it will be made clear at the time of booking.

I am arriving late. Will my room be held for me?

Yes, if you have made a booking that requires payment on arrival at the hotel your room will be held for late arrival using your credit card as guarantee. If you have booked an advance purchase rate then of course your room will be kept for you and will not be re-sold.

Do I need to pay the hotel using the same card used at the time of making the booking?

No. Bookings that require payment on arrival at the hotel can be paid for using a different card, or another means altogether. Advance purchase rates are due at the time of booking so the payment card used to make the booking will be charged.

Do all the hotels offer a shuttle to and from the airport?

All hotels featured on this site offer a two-way return shuttle service that operates between all terminals. (See hotel shuttle timetable.) If you have booked a room at a hotel that is connected to a terminal building via a walkway then a shuttle is not required to get to that terminal. However, a shuttle journey will be required to reach other terminals.

Do the shuttles run from the airport to the hotels as well as from the hotels to the airport?

Yes, all hotels featured on this site operate shuttle services that run to and from all terminals at the airport.

Do I have to pay for the shuttle service?

Yes, there is a small charge to use the hotel shuttle services. The cost depends on the hotel and terminal. View the hotel shuttle bus timetable.

Are the hotel shuttles reliable?

Yes, hotel shuttles are reliable and operated by professional companies.

What if I need to get to the airport and there is no shuttle running?

All the hotels featured on our site are within an 8 mile radius of the airport, so if necessary it is easy to get a taxi for the short journey.

Where do I pick up the shuttle from the airport?

Shuttle pick up points are clearly marked throughout the terminal buildings. Just follow the signs. Take a look at the hotel shuttle bus timetable to see which number shuttle you need to catch to get to your hotel.

I arrive at the airport by train, can I get a shuttle from the station to the hotel?

Yes, you will need to make your way into the terminal building and then follow the signs to hotel shuttles. It may involve a short walk from the station to the terminal.

How long will it take to get to the terminal from my hotel?

All hotels are within approximately 15 minutes of the airport. However, journey times vary depending on traffic and other factors so you should always allow more time. Bear in mind also that your shuttle bus may make more stops on the way to the airport or hotel.

What distance are the hotels from the airport?

The hotels featured on this site are all within 8 miles of the airport and are all classified as airport hotels.

Is breakfast included in the room price?

If breakfast is included in the rate it will be clearly stated. Some rates include breakfast and others do not. Remember that the airport offers plenty of restaurants and cafes that serve breakfast.

Is breakfast available at the airport?

Yes, the airport offers an excellent choice of restaurants and cafes. Breakfast will often be considerably cheaper at the airport than in the hotel.

What time is breakfast available from at the airport?

Most restaurants in the terminal buildings open at 06:00.

Can I get a taxi to the airport from the hotel, or from the hotel to the airport?

Yes. But bear in mind that local taxis are considerably cheaper than the dedicated airport taxi services. It is advisable to pre-book a taxi either by phone in the airport terminal or at the hotel reception. (Hotel staff will be happy to do this for you.)

Do the hotels featured offer overnight parking?

Yes, all hotels on this site offer overnight parking. Some offer complimentary overnight parking, although most have an overnight rate that is payable to the hotel locally.

Do all car parks hold the Park Mark award?

If a car park featured on this site holds the Park Mark award it will be made clear. We only feature reputable, secure and fully insured car park operators, all of which have undergone a full site visit and inspection.

Are the Meet and Greet drivers insured?

Yes, all parking operators featured on this site are fully insured to drive your vehicle. Your driver will be covered from the moment they pick up your car to the moment they drop it back to you.

Where will my car be kept whilst I’m away?

If you have chosen a Park and Ride package you will visit the car park when you drop off your vehicle. In the case of Meet and Greet parking, your vehicle will be stored at a secured, manned and monitored location close to the airport. In many cases these compounds hold Park Mark accreditation.

I am leaving from one terminal and arriving into a different one what should I do?

You should book a Meet and Greet parking package. You can then specify that you need to be met on your arrival at one terminal and then again on your return from another terminal.

What does the term "Accessible Room" mean?

This term is used to describe a room type that can accommodate wheelchair-bound or disabled guests. It could be that the room is larger and comes with increased door widths, ramp access, walk-in shower facilities and other essential features.

What does Meet on Return or 'Plus' mean?

This service is half Park and Ride and half Meet and Greet. On your outbound journey you drive yourself to the car park and catch a courtesy shuttle bus to your terminal building. On your return, to make things as easy as possible, your vehicle is delivered back to you at your arrival terminal, meaning you will not need to take the shuttle back to the car park.

We need Interconnecting rooms. How can we book these?

When you search for a hotel room on Heathrowparking.com simply select the number of adults and children travelling in your party. If interconnecting rooms are available at any of the hotels they will show up in the search results. Alternatively, you can book two separate rooms and request that they are interconnecting in the 'Special Requests' comments field on your booking summary.

Can I drop-off my car with the Meet and Greet driver at the Virgin Atlantic Upper class drop-off point?

The airport does not allow Meet and Greet from this area. You can, however, collect your driver from Terminal 3 departure lanes then drive round to the Upper Class drop-off point. You can then leave your car with your driver.
