Terminal 3 of Heathrow Airport is primarily set aside for long-haul flights as well as destinations in Europe. Parking facilities here cater to a wide range of different types of travellers. All car parks serving the terminal are patrolled by security staff, monitored by CCTV and utilise various other high tech methods to ensure the safety of vehicles left in Terminal 3 car parks.

Parking Companies

A large number of parking companies provide parking compounds close to Terminal 3, including Perfect Parking and QPark. Long stay parking is readily available and can be either booked in advance or located on arrival at the terminal. It's recommended, however, that parking is pre-booked whenever possible.

The airlines situated at Terminal 3 mainly provide long-haul flights to destinations in Asia, South America and the USA such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, New York and Peru.

General information

Terminal 3 opened its doors to passengers back in 1961 and has been modernised several times over the years. More than 15 million passengers pass through the doors of Terminal 3 each year and the terminal has an excellent safety record.

Passengers checking in at Terminal 3 will find the check-in desks at the front of the main con course on the ground floor. It is best to check in at least three hours before a long-haul flight is due to depart, while people who are taking a flight to a destination in Europe should check in two hours in advance.

Facilities

People who want to indulge in a spot of shopping before their flight will find an excellent range of shops located in the Terminal 3 building. These include popular high street shops such as Tie Rack, Boots, Burberry and Cartier. Duty Free prices are available at most of these shops, while people in search of a little reading material can take their pick from the selection in WH Smiths. When hunger strikes there is also plenty to satisfy at Terminal 3. Light refreshment is available in establishments such as Bagel Street, Apostrophe, AMT Coffee and Caffè Italia. Passengers who are searching for something a little more substantial to sink think their teeth into should check out the dining options in the Bridge Bar and Eating House.
