Terminal 1 processes all domestic flights landing and taking off from Heathrow Airport. There is plenty of parking available here, which comes in all shapes and sizes. There is an official short stay car park situated conveniently close to Terminal 1 that is ideal for people who are picking up or dropping off friends and family.

General information

More than 25 million passengers pass through Terminal 1 each and every year. In addition to domestic flights, the terminal also caters to a number of destinations in Europe as well as long-haul destinations.

Passengers who are checking in at Terminal 1 will find the domestic desks on the left of the concourse on the first floor. International flight desks are located in the centre and to the left of the same concourse and the details of the check in desks and flights on large television screens conveniently placed around the terminal building. Passengers are requested to check in 90 minutes before their domestic flight departs, two hours before the departure of European flights and three hours in advance for long-haul flights.

Facilities

People that have a little time to kill before their flight will be able to take advantage of a wide range of excellent shopping options. These are available both before and after security and include Boots, Burberry and Chocolate Box. Hungry travellers can also fuel up at several restaurants and other eateries such as Caffé Italia, Pret A Manger, The Skylark and The Bridge Bar, which is a great place to unwind with a drink or two and watch the world go by while waiting for a flight.
